Octopus exists because operations fail quietly: a lapsed certificate, an unrecorded induction, a machine nobody signed off. The businesses least able to carry that risk are the ones with the least support. This is where we put something back.

Where contributions go

Safety training for small contractors

The smallest firms carry the same legal duties as the largest and the least capacity to meet them. Contributions put certification and refresher training within reach of teams that would otherwise go without.

Skills and apprenticeships

Practical training for people entering construction, logistics and industrial work, including the digital skills that a site increasingly assumes you already have.

Platform access for non-profits

Community organisations running real operations: feeding schemes, build projects, training centres, use Octopus at no cost. Contributions cover the hosting and support behind that.

  • Time. Assessors, trainers and safety practitioners who can give a few hours are worth more than most cheques.
  • Equipment. Serviceable PPE and training equipment goes further than you would think.
  • Introductions. If you know an organisation that should be getting this support, tell us.

Octopus is a product of a South African company: 100% Black-owned, B-BBEE Level 1, based in Midrand, Gauteng. Contributions are not currently issued with a Section 18A tax certificate, if that matters for your giving, say so when you write and we will tell you exactly where we stand. Prefer a bank transfer?
